Tips for the Best Baked Oats
- Use rolled oats, not instant because instant oats get too mushy. We like Bob’s Red Mill Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
- Ripe banana = natural sweetness: the riper, the sweeter (no extra sugar needed)
- Meal prep: Make a batch of 5 in muffin tins or ramekins for grab-and-go breakfasts
- Make it vegan: Use flax egg (1 tbsp flax + 3 tbsp water) and plant milk
- Boost protein: Add a scoop of protein powder or Greek yogurt
- Freeze well: Store baked oats in the freezer for up to 3 months. Reheat in microwave for 90 seconds
